during Black History Month in 2024, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Baltimore Ravens inaugural Beats, History & Music event. We partnered with the Beats Not Bullets organization and 10 of their students that have an interest in music production. For the first half of the event, I gave a presentation that covered the evolution of music production equipment, some of the greatest Hip-Hop producer minds over the history of the genre, and highlighted how 9th Wonder pioneered the use of FL Studio as well as his contribution to the producer community.

For the 2nd half of the event, the students were able to get hands on music production experience by taking turns adding drums to a melody to make a complete beat. We closed out the event with local Baltimore artist 'Nast B' freestyling over one of the beats made by the students!

It was an honor to partner with the Baltimore Ravens organization and contribute to the success of the inaugural Beats, History & Music event in celebration of Black History Month!
